The W77Q provides strong end-to-end protection for IoT devices by:

- Secure code updates can still be performed between an update authority (such as a W77Q) and the SoC or host processor, even if it has been compromised. This is done over a secure channel that runs from end to end.
- Using authentication and encryption, secure Execution-in-Place of boot and application codes between the – Flash and the host is possible.
- The three main security functions are detection, protection and recovery.
