SolarEdge’s product range for energy management has grown in recent years both in the UK as well as across the world. Hark offers software-as-a-service (SaaS), IoT and other services to help analyse and optimize the operations of energy and industrial assets.
SolarEdge, a giant in the solar industry, has purchased UK-based Hark Systems. The company specializes in energy analytics as well as internet of things. With the help of this acquisition, SolarEdge’s headquarters is in Israel. The acquired company will now be able provide more capabilities to its Corporate and Industrial (C&I), clients to better manage their energy assets.
SolarEdge will use its energy management capabilities and its connectivity to optimize energy consumption and reduce carbon emissions. This includes identifying potential energy savings and anomalies, detecting abnormalities in the energy consumption of assets, as well as load orchestration, storage control, and detection of anomalies. The acquisition should be completed in Q2 of 2023.
SolarEdge has achieved record inverter sales in the third quarter of 2022, with a 90 percent increase in revenue year over year in Europe. To increase imports to the US, and to lessen tariffs’ effects on the company’s operations, SolarEdge announced in February last year that it would be increasing its Mexican production capability.
