Smart Energy Giant to Acquire this IoT Company Soon

SolarEdge, a company based in Israel, has an office in Cambridgeshire. Clients include some of the UK’s largest grocery chains. Jordan Appleson, co-founder and CEO, was recognized as one of Insider’s 42 Under 42 for 2019.

A major smart energy company will acquire an Insider 42 Under 42 alumnus, who founded a internet of things (IoT), co-founder of a IoT startup. SolarEdge Technologies, a smart energy technology firm, announced today that it has signed a legally-binding contract to purchase the entire share capital of Hark Systems Ltd.

Hark, a Leeds-based company founded in 2016, provides a software-as-a-service (SaaS) internet of things platform that enables businesses and asset managers to connect, analyse, and optimise the energy and industrial assets at their commercial sites.

SolarEdge, with the addition of Hark to its portfolio, will be able provide more advanced energy management capabilities and connectivity to their commercial and industrial clients. This includes the ability to identify energy savings potential, detect anomalies in the energy consumption of assets, and optimise the energy use and emissions by using load orchestration and energy storage control.
