New portable tool to sniff, communicate with IoT devices

CatSniffer is a portable multi-protocol device that supports multiple frequency bands. This tool is common for IoT devices. The new tool, announced by Electronic Cats as a pre-sale, allows for sniffing and debugging IoT devices.

CatSniffer is a device that covers three main frequency ranges: LoRa, subGHz, and 2.4GHz. It also supports protocols such as Thread, ZigBee (LoRaWAN), BLE 5, IEEE 802.15.4g (6LoWPAN), LoRa and subGHz.

Semtech’s SX1262 radio handles LoRaWAN and LoRa communication, which covers protocols. The portable USB stick was designed to integrate the latest generation of chips, including TI CC1352 and Semtech SX1262, as well as Microchip SAMD21E17.

This board is a tool to audit IoT security for security researchers. The board is compatible with a variety of software, including third-party sniffers like SmartRF Packet Sniffer and Sniffle. It can also be used in conjunction with Z-Stack Firmware, Z-Stack, Z-Stack, our custom firmware or even the user’s own firmware.

A company statement reads: “This kit allows product developers to evaluate the electronic components, circuits, or software that are associated with the kit in order to determine if they should be incorporated into a finished product, and software developers can write software applications to use with the final product.”
