Open Source Embedded client for IoT device vendors

Friendly Technologies, a company that specializes in IoT Device and Data Management has released its Professional Embedded lwM2M client and SDK for IoT Vendors as open-source free software.

The LwM2M client is primarily targeted at IoT devices manufacturers who want to meet industry standards and deploy IoT devices efficiently.

“We have developed a high-quality, fully-featured LwM2M client that is efficient, requires very little RAM, Flash and CPU resources, and has a low footprint. Tzvi Skapinker is VP Products of Friendly Technologies. He cites the ultra-low power Cortex M4 MCUs and ARM MCUs as an example. This announcement is the result of our involvement with OMA SpecWorks – the standards body for IoT devices and data management. We felt it was our duty to contribute to the IoT community as a whole to advance and support efficient IoT devices deployments worldwide .”

Friendly’s OMA LwM2M embedded SDK is a framework which implements the OMA LwM2M 1.0/1.1 protocols and is designed to manage low-profile, constrained Class 0 or Class 1 devices.

Friendly’s LwM2M Client can also be deployed on various CIoT technology, including LTE CAT M1, NB IoT and EC GSM IoT.

Friendly Technologies CEO, Mr Ilan MIGDAL, states that “Friendly Technologies has invested significant R&D in developing and maturing LwM2M, many of our customers have benefited from using this professional client for their IoT device development.” We are an innovation organisation that looks forward to device vendors adopting LwM2M for their IoT devices. This will help the standards of interoperability and benefit the entire IoT eco-system .”

The project aims to develop IoT industries worldwide. IoT vendors will have a brand new client as a result of their success in the industry.
